Join the Old Vines Express for a scenic 2-hour train ride through Yolo County, featuring a selection of wines and seasonal canapés. The journey begins with a welcome glass of sparkling wine, setting the stage for a relaxed exploration of tastes. Participants will enjoy a flight of five wines, carefully selected to showcase a variety of profiles, with expert guides providing insights into each pour.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: This is not an experience for children.
• Individuals with disabilities: Unfortunately, due to the historical nature of the train cars, the train is not wheelchair accessible. The experience provider is always happy to accommodate for disabilities in any way they can, however physical restrictions such as narrow corridors, steps, and uneven platforms may not allow for full access. 
• Pets: Well-behaved dogs are the only pets permitted on board and require a ticket. Please bring whatever your dog needs to be comfortable (food, water, dishes, etc).

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: 2 hours
• What’s included: Train ticket and tour, welcome glass of sparkling wine, flight of 5 wines and guided tasting with a seasonal canapé assortment.
• Who will be present: The train conductor and crew will be with you at all times as well as up to 80 total passengers.
• Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket.
• Photo/ video: Photos and video are encouraged!
• Specific rules to follow: 
  • No outside food or drinks, including alcoholic beverages, are allowed on the train.
  • No smoking allowed on the train.
  • All dogs must be on a leash or in a carrier.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the experience will be running.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes in advance. 
• Parking: There is parking available at the train station.
• What to wear: Comfortable and casual layered clothing is suggested to keep warm in the chilly months.
• What to bring: A valid government issued photo ID that matches the name on your reservation. 
• Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: No lockers or changing rooms, but there are restrooms available on the train as well as at the train station.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 72 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 72 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
