Full description

Your journey begins at the Historic Seaport of Key West, where you'll board a comfortable catamaran with ample seating for a more intimate and spacious adventure. Our catering kitchen prepares a fresh breakfast feast featuring mouthwatering egg frittatas, muffins, juices, and more.

The first stop on your adventure is the Florida Keys Reef, just seven miles off the coast of Key West. Here, you'll don snorkeling gear provided by us, including sanitized snorkels, masks, fins, and buoyancy vests. Our experienced captains carefully select the day's snorkeling location based on water and wind conditions, ensuring you have the best underwater experience.

Before you dive in, our crew provides a professional safety and instruction course, ensuring that even first-time snorkelers feel confident. After your snorkeling adventure, you can ask our knowledgeable crew about what you've seen and learn more about the delicate ecosystem you've just explored.

Next, it's off to the tranquil mangrove islands of Key West National Wildlife Refuge. As you enjoy a delicious all-you-can-eat lunch featuring shrimp cocktail, pulled pork sliders, coleslaw, pasta salad, veggie & hummus wraps, and chocolate chip cookies, your crew prepares you for the kayaking part of the adventure. They provide paddling instructions and help you into your kayak.

As you paddle through the calm, shallow waters sheltered by the mangroves, you'll learn about the vital role these trees play as nurseries to the sea. Discover how mangrove trees survive in saltwater and get a closer look at the diverse marine life that calls this unique ecosystem home.

Keep your eyes peeled for the incredible array of bird species that inhabit the mangroves, including ospreys, frigates, blue herons, bald eagles, and roseate spoonbills. In the water, you might spot sea turtles, dolphins, manta rays, and tropical fish.

After your mangrove kayak tour, enjoy another tasty beverage and indulge in chocolate chip cookies. Then, relax and savor a brisk hour-long sail back to the Historic Seaport as you reflect on the unforgettable memories you've made throughout this incredible day in Key West.
