Step into a Parisian bakery without ever leaving your hometown in our immersive Choux Pastry cooking class. Known for its light and airy texture, Choux pastry is the basis for many beloved French desserts such as eclairs and cream puffs. Although it has a reputation for complexity, you'll discover its secrets are quite accessible with the right instruction. Our experienced Pastry Chef Instructor will lead a comprehensive demonstration, explaining each step clearly from mixing the perfect choux dough to the art of piping and baking. You'll then get hands-on experience crafting these delicate pastries yourself.

Designed for bakers of all levels, this class ensures a supportive and enjoyable learning environment. Whether you're a seasoned baker eager to tackle new techniques or a newcomer ready to dip your toes into the world of French baking, this class caters to all. What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: 2 hours.
  • What’s included: All the equipment and ingredients will be provided.
  • Who will be present: You will work around other students. Minimum 8 guests, maximum 20 guests will be present.
  • Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket/reservations.
  • Photo/ video: You may take your own photos and videos.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: This is an indoor experience

  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance

  • Parking: Street parking available. Please arrive early if you plan to drive and park.

  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: There will be restrooms at the experience location.

  • Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

    • The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. 
    • BYOB is welcome-Beer, Wine or Champagne. 
    • Class level: All level

FAQs

What should I expect on the day of the class?

Arrive a few minutes early to check in with the chef instructor using the ticket holder’s name. No need to bring a printed confirmation. The class will typically start with an introduction and a brief overview of the recipes you'll be preparing. Ingredients and cooking stations will be provided, and the chef will guide you through each step. After cooking, you'll enjoy the delicious meal you've created.

Why do classes work together in groups?

Cooking classes are designed to be a social and interactive experience. Working in groups encourages collaboration, allows for sharing of tips and techniques, and enhances the fun of the learning process. It's also a great way to meet new people who share your interests.

Can you accommodate food allergies?

Yes! Enjoying the meal you've prepared is the best reward for all your efforts.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows mean losing the value of your experience. Rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance is subject to a $20 per person rescheduling fee. A minimum of 8 participants is required for the class to run. If the minimum is not met, the provider reserves the right to cancel the class and will make every effort to reschedule customers.

The teacher was wonderful but the class had too many students. We had to wait around a lot as we shared tools and we were only able to make 1 thing instead of the 3 that I thought we were signing up for. Everyone we met was very nice and we learned new skills, but it was not what we were expecting because there were just too many people
