In this engaging hands-on workshop, discover the simplicity behind the art of French Choux pastry, a technique often perceived as challenging. Led by an experienced Pastry Chef Instructor, participants will enjoy a comprehensive demonstration before being meticulously guided through the process of crafting the perfect choux dough, along with the skills of piping, baking, and filling to produce delightful Eclairs and Cream Puffs. By mastering these straightforward recipes, you'll be able to tackle a variety of pastries that intimidate many bakers, and quickly pick up the fundamentals of making Gougères, Churros, French Cruller Donuts, and Choux Beignets.

No prior baking experience is needed to join! We supply all necessary equipment and ingredients, which you can easily find for your own kitchen if not already on hand. The atmosphere of our events is relaxed and geared towards making learning enjoyable and accessible, whether you're a passionate cook eager to engage in every step or a newcomer who prefers to watch, help, or indulge in tasting.

Any restrictions to participate?

  • Age: 18+ to participate, 21+ to consume alcohol.

Who can you accommodate for?

  • Children: This is not an experience for children.
  • Dietary restrictions: This experience is vegetarian friendly, nut free, fish free and shellfish free.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes
  • What’s included: All the equipment and ingredients will be provided.
  • Who will be present: You will work around other students. Minimum 8 guests, maximum 26 guests will be present. You will work in groups of 2 to 4 participants.
  • Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket/reservations.
  • Photo/ video: You may take your own photos and videos.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: This is an indoor experience
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance
  • Parking: Street parking available. Please arrive early if you plan to drive and park.
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: There will be restrooms at the experience location.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

  • The nature of these classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. 
  • BYOB is welcome-Beer, Wine or Champagne.

 

FAQs

What should I expect on the day of the class?

Arrive a few minutes early to check in with the chef instructor using the ticket holder’s name. No need to bring a printed confirmation. The class will typically start with an introduction and a brief overview of the recipes you'll be preparing. Ingredients and cooking stations will be provided, and the chef will guide you through each step. After cooking, you'll enjoy the delicious meal you've created.

Why do classes work together in groups?

Cooking classes are designed to be a social and interactive experience. Working in groups encourages collaboration, allows for sharing of tips and techniques, and enhances the fun of the learning process. It's also a great way to meet new people who share your interests.

Can you accommodate food allergies?

Will I eat the food after cooking?

Yes! Enjoying the meal you've prepared is the best reward for all your efforts.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly.
