Candle making at Malibu Apothecary turns an afternoon or evening in Dallas, Texas into a hands-on creative session. Guests work with an essential oil infused fragrance library to design a bespoke scent, then hand pour it into an 8-ounce candle made with a coconut and apricot wax blend.

Beyond the pour, the experience includes a personalized label design and a scent formula saved on file for easy reordering later. Light snacks and refreshments are provided throughout, and guests are welcome to bring their own drinks to sip while they craft. It is a laid back way to walk away with a one of a kind candle and a new favorite scent.

Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: 13+
• Experience level: All levels are welcome, no prior candle making experience is needed.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: This is not an experience for young children, though participants 13 and up may attend with a parent.
• Individuals with disabilities: The studio is wheelchair accessible with step-free, ground level entry and an accessible restroom.
• Pets: Only service animals are permitted, other pets are not allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: 2.5 hours
• What's included: Signature scent design from an essential oil infused fragrance library, a hand poured 8-ounce candle in a choice of more than 20 jar colors, personalized label design, complimentary light snacks and refreshments, and a scent formula saved on file for future reorders. Additional candles can be purchased at a discount during the visit.
• Who will be present: A guide will be present throughout, along with other guests crafting alongside the group.
• Photo/video: Photos are welcome and encouraged throughout the experience.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: This is an indoor experience.
• Arrival: Please arrive at least 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled booking time.
• Parking: Free on-street parking is available, including an accessible parking spot.
• What to bring: Personal beverages are welcome (BYOB), including alcohol for guests 21 and older
• Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms: An accessible restroom is available on site.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
