Step into island time at the Cocktail Making Class at Hilton Head Distillery—a hands-on tiki cocktail experience that brings the tropical heat straight to South Carolina’s coast. In this two-hour guided class, guests will dive into the colorful world of tiki mixology, crafting three rum-forward cocktails using fresh fruit, bold syrups, and creative garnishes. Whether you're new to the shaker or already a seasoned home bartender, you'll walk away with new skills, island-inspired recipes, and a head full of tiki tricks.

Located in beautiful Hilton Head, this experience is more than just a class—it’s a mini vacation in a glass. Alongside expert-led instruction, participants will enjoy tastings, pairing insights, and behind-the-bar tips to perfect their pours. You’ll also take home a full-size bottle from the distillery's signature collection. Mocktail versions are available for non-drinkers, so everyone can enjoy the flavor and fun!

Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: Must be 21+ to participate. IDs will be checked at the door.
• Experience level: All levels are welcome.
• Physical limitations: Must be able to stand and work at a mixology station for extended periods.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: This is not an experience for children.
• Individuals with disabilities: Hilton Head Distillery is wheelchair accessible and service animals are allowed.
• Dietary restrictions: Non-alcoholic versions of each cocktail are available for guests who do not drink.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: 2 hours
• What’s included: Instruction and hands-on guidance to make 3 signature tiki cocktails, tastings and pairing insights, tiki mixology techniques, and a bottle of your choice from the core spirits collection.
• Who will be present: A trained mixologist will lead the class. Up to 16 total participants may join the session.
• Spectators: No spectators are allowed; all attendees must have a reservation.
• Photo/ video: Guests are welcome to take their own photos.
• Specific rules to follow: IDs will be checked; no outside alcohol permitted. All guests must follow safety instructions provided by the host.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: This is an indoor experience.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in.
• Parking: Free on-site parking is available at Hilton Head Distillery.
• What to wear: Casual, comfortable clothing; closed-toe shoes recommended for safety.
• What to bring:
  • Valid government-issued ID
  • Phones and personal belongings are allowed but must be kept at your station
  • Gratuity for your instructor; $17 per person is suggested.
• Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms are available on-site; no lockers or changing rooms provided.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.
