Led by a professional guide, explore iconic sites like Independence Mall, the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and the President’s House. Learn about the key figures and everyday citizens who helped shape the early republic, and visit Benjamin Franklin’s grave to discover more about Philly’s favorite historical figure.

The journey continues through Arch Street Meeting House to explore the Quaker influence, a stop at Betsy Ross’ House for insight into the role of women, and a stroll down Elfreth’s Alley to meet the everyday people of revolutionary Philadelphia. You’ll even visit Christ Church, where many of Philadelphia’s prominent figures worshipped. This 90-minute walking tour covers about a mile and is a fantastic way to dive into Philly’s revolutionary past.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • What’s included: A professional tour guide will lead the group through historic landmarks in Old City Philadelphia, including the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and Betsy Ross’ House.
  • Who will be present: A professional tour guide will be present throughout the tour. Other participants may join, with group sizes varying.
  • Spectators: No spectators are allowed. All participants must have a ticket.
  • Photo/ video: You are encouraged to take your own photos during the tour.
  • Specific rules to follow: Please arrive on time and follow the guide’s instructions.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the tour will run.
  • Arrival: Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the scheduled tour time.
  • Parking: Parking may be available at nearby public lots or street parking, depending on availability.
  • What to wear: Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
  • What to bring:

    • Water if needed, though food and drinks are not allowed during the tour.
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: No restrooms or changing rooms available during the tour.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.
