Embark on a full-day adventure through Colorado's historic Gold Belt Mining District. This 6-hour tour offers a scenic drive through railroad tunnels and past abandoned mines, including a stop at the fourth largest gold mine in the world. Along the way, you'll visit the historic town of Victor for a lunch break. The tour also includes a stop at Garden Park, known for its famous dinosaur quarries, before descending back along an old stagecoach road.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: 6 Hours (Tour may go slightly longer based on participant engagement throughout the tour)
• What’s included: Lunch provided in Victor, CO
• Who will be present: You will have a guide with you at all times; other guests may be joining (minimum of 4 people required from June to mid-August, and 2 people for the remainder of the year)
• Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket/reservation
• Photo/ video: You may take your own photos, photos are encouraged!
• Specific rules to follow: All guests are required to complete an electronic waiver prior to tour departure

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the experience will be running
• Arrival: Plan to arrive 30 minutes in advance
• Parking: You may park your car at 50905 W US 50, Cañon City, CO 81212
• What to wear: Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes; consider dressing in layers and checking the weather prior to your arrival
• What to bring:

  • Sun screen
  • Any necessary personal items
• Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: No changing rooms but restrooms available at the meeting location

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 14 days before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 14 days in advance means losing the value of your experience.
