Any restrictions to participate?

  • Age: Each participant must be at least 8 years old and anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Weight: 230 lbs. for the Airplane Introductory Flight and over 230 pounds for the Airplane Introductory Flight for Larger Customers.

Who can you accommodate for?

  • Children: All participants must pay to participate, children included.
  • Individuals with disabilities: Not wheelchair accessible.
  • Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: Approximately 15 minutes of instruction time and 45 minutes of flight time.
  • What’s included: Flight instruction, safety briefing and the opportunity to learn the basics of flying while taking control of the plane!
  • Who will be present: You will have an instructor with you at all times. The aircraft seats only you and the instructor.
  • Spectators: Everyone must have a ticket/reservations.
  • Photo/ video: Photography allowed and encouraged.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: This experience is weather dependent. In the event your flight is canceled due to inclement weather, you will reschedule directly with the experience provider.
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 20 minutes in advance.
  • Parking: Free parking at the experience location.
  • What to wear: Dress comfortably and appropriately for expected weather conditions. Closed-toe shoes and sunglasses are recommended.
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms are located inside the airport.

Under the guidance of a qualified instructor, you'll learn the basics of flying a plane, including take-off, navigation, and landing. As you climb higher into the sky, you'll experience the incredible sensation of freedom that comes with piloting your aircraft, with the stunning natural scenery of the Chesapeake Valley spread out before you.

As you glide through the air, your instructor will point out the area's highlights, such as the picturesque coastline, sparkling waters, and rolling hills. You'll also have the chance to spot local landmarks, including lighthouses, historic sites, and charming small towns. This bird's-eye view provides an entirely new perspective on the region, making for a truly unforgettable experience.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
