Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: 18+
• Weight: Individual passenger weight for Discovery Flights must not exceed 200 lbs.
• Health limitations: Not recommended for individuals with heart, back, or neck conditions, or for those who may experience discomfort with motion or altitude changes.
• Physical limitations: Passengers must be able to enter and exit a small aircraft independently.
• Experience level: All levels are welcome. No prior flight experience is required.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: This is not an experience for children.
• Individuals with disabilities: Guests with accessibility needs should contact the flight academy in advance to confirm available accommodations.
• Pets: Pets are not allowed on the aircraft or in restricted areas.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: Approximately 60 minutes, including pre-flight briefing, hands-on flight time, and debriefing.
• What’s included:
  • A pre-flight safety briefing
  • Instructional guidance from a certified flight instructor
  • Hands-on flying time in a dual-controlled aircraft
  • Use of a headset for communication
  • Post-flight discussion and certificate of completion (upon request)
• Who will be present: A professional FAA-certified instructor will be in the aircraft at all times. Each flight is private for one participant, though guests may observe from designated areas on the ground.
• Spectators: Friends and family are welcome to watch from the observation area at the airfield.
• Photo/ video: Personal photography is allowed before and after the flight. Recording devices are permitted in the cockpit at the instructor’s discretion.
• Specific rules to follow: Passengers must follow all safety instructions, remain seated, and wear seatbelts at all times during the flight.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: Flights may be rescheduled in the event of adverse weather or mechanical issues for safety reasons.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled flight for check-in and pre-flight briefing.
  • Late arrivals (30 minutes or more) and no-shows will be charged in full.
• Parking: Free parking is available at 7900 Balboa Blvd., Suite D3, Van Nuys, CA 91406.
• What to wear: Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Avoid loose accessories or clothing that may interfere with cockpit controls.
• What to bring:
  • A valid government-issued photo ID or passport
  • Sunglasses and water (optional)
  • Printed or digital Giftory voucher
• Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms are available on-site; storage for personal items is limited.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• All passengers must sign a liability waiver prior to the flight.
• Routes and flight paths may be adjusted for safety or airspace regulations.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
