  • Photography by the guide throughout the tour
  • Who will be present: A professional local guide leads the experience; groups are capped at 12 participants.
  • Spectators: Not applicable, as all participants require a ticket.
  • Photo/ video: Guests are welcome to take their own photos, and the guide will also take photos during the tour.
  • Specific rules to follow: Responsible alcohol consumption is expected; intoxicated guests may be removed from the tour without refund. The tour enforces a zero-tolerance policy for racist, sexist, or homophobic behavior.
How to prepare?
  • Weather dependency: Runs rain or shine. Severe or unsafe weather may result in cancellation, with refunds or rescheduling offered.
  • Arrival: Arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
  • Parking: Paid parking garages and limited metered parking are available near the KFC Yum! Center. Walking or rideshare is recommended due to limited free parking.
  • What to wear: Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended. Derby hats and festive attire are welcome.
  • What to bring:
  • Photo ID (required for those drinking alcohol)
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Umbrella in case of rain
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms are available at partner restaurants during stops; lockers and changing rooms are not provided.
Anything else I should know before going on this experience?
  • Guests are encouraged to dress festively—Derby attire is welcome even outside racing season.
  • The tour covers sensitive and complex aspects of Louisville’s history; guests are expected to approach with respect and an open mind.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 15 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.
