Full description

This two-hour, beginner-friendly workshop is designed exclusively for couples, giving you and your partner a private lesson in the art of wheel throwing. Guided by an experienced potter, you’ll learn how to center, shape, and form clay into functional or decorative pieces, working with up to three pounds of clay each. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to get a little messy and have fun together.
Throughout the session, you’ll create up to three unique pieces between you, which will be trimmed, glazed, and kiln-fired by the studio staff. Your finished ceramics will be ready for pickup in 4–6 weeks, leaving you with lasting keepsakes from your shared experience. Disposable aprons are available for single-day students, and all tools and materials are provided, so you can focus on enjoying the process. It’s an intimate, relaxed, and memorable way to spend time together while learning a new skill in the heart of San Francisco.
