Once on the water, you’ll enjoy about 2 hours navigating through a series of Class 1 and 2 rapids, which offer just the right amount of thrill. This adventure aligns well with other local activities, such as a visit to Out of Africa Wildlife Park or the Verde Canyon Railroad, making it a seamless addition to your day. When your journey concludes, conveniently find your vehicle waiting at the vineyard, ready to take you to your next destination.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: Approximately 2 to 3 hours in total, with about 2 hours on the water.
  • What’s included: Self-guided river trip, shuttle to the river access point, single or tandem kayak, life jackets, and paddles.
  • Who will be present: You will meet a shuttle-guide who provides transportation and safety instructions.
  • Photo/video: Feel free to bring your camera, but make sure it is waterproof or protected.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: This trip departs rain or shine. Please be prepared for any weather conditions.
  • Arrival: Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time for check-in and instructions.
  • Parking: Free parking is available at Alcantara Vineyards, where both the trip starts and ends.
  • What to wear: Dress for the weather in clothes that can get wet. Water shoes or sandals are recommended.
  • What to bring:
    • Reusable water bottle - crucial as no disposable bottles are sold or allowed.
    • Clothing suitable for getting wet, plus a change of clothes for afterward.
    • Sun protection: Hat, sunglasses with strap, and sunscreen.
    • Waterproof bag or container for phones, cameras, and other items you want to keep dry.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
