• Physical limitations: This is a walking tour. Guests should be able to walk approximately 1 mile and stand for stretches of time. Elevators are available inside Top of the Rock.

• Duration: Approximately 90 minutes, including the guided walking tour and time for entry into Top of the Rock. Guests may remain at the observation deck as long as they wish after entry.

• Spectators: No spectators are allowed; all individuals must have a ticket to join the tour and enter Top of the Rock.
• Photo / video: Photos and videos are encouraged. Top of the Rock allows personal photography throughout its observation terraces.
• Specific rules to follow:
  • Security screening is required before entering Top of the Rock.
  • Tripods, large bags, and certain prohibited items may not be allowed at the observation deck.
  • Guests must follow staff instructions within Rockefeller Center and Top of the Rock.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: The walking portion runs rain or shine. Top of the Rock is partially indoors; outdoor terraces remain open unless weather causes temporary closures.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early to meet the guide at the designated meeting point.
• Parking: Paid parking garages may be available nearby, but public transportation is recommended due to Midtown traffic.
• What to wear: Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.

• Restrooms / lockers / changing rooms: Restrooms are available inside Rockefeller Center. No lockers are provided for large personal items.

• Top of the Rock uses timed entry. The tour guide will escort guests to the entrance and ensure they have their entry tickets.
• Lines for elevators may vary based on time of day and season.
• Guests may remain at the observation deck after the tour concludes and explore at their own pace.
• Portions of Rockefeller Center may be under construction or decorated seasonally depending on the time of year.
