Set out on a self-guided half-day Wild & Scenic Verde River adventure that’s perfect for everyone from first-timers to seasoned paddlers! This thrilling kayak trip kicks off with a brief shuttle ride to the river access point, where you’ll grab your paddle and hit the water. Glide down Arizona’s only designated 'Wild & Scenic River' in your choice of a solo or tandem inflatable kayak, designed for stability and ease of maneuvering. The 2.5 to 3-hour journey takes you through a picturesque 5-mile stretch of the Verde River, offering plenty of opportunities to spot local wildlife and soak in the tranquil surroundings. When your adventure wraps up, your vehicle awaits at the original meeting location, making it easy to switch into dry clothes and continue your day.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: Children ages 3-12 must be accompanied by an adult in a tandem kayak.

• Pets: No pets allowed on this trip.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: About 2.5 to 3 hours on the water, plus transportation time.
• What’s included: Shuttle service, safety and paddling instruction, inflatable kayak, paddle, personal flotation device (PFD), and a memorable trip down the Verde River.
• Who will be present: A professional shuttle-guide will be available for transportation and to provide instructions.
• Photo/video: Bring your camera for great photo opportunities; be sure to protect it from water.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: Trips depart rain or shine. Adaptations may be made depending on water levels and weather conditions.
• Arrival: Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure to allow time for check-in.
• Parking: Available at the meeting location where the trip also concludes.
• What to wear: Clothing suitable for getting wet, and water-appropriate shoes.
• What to bring:
  • Mandatory reusable water bottle—no plastic bottles allowed; filtered water available for refills.
  • Appropriate clothing for weather conditions, a change of clothes for after the trip, and water-appropriate footwear.
  • Sun protection: hat, sunglasses with strap, and sunscreen.
  • Waterproof bag for phones, cameras, and other valuables.
• Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms: Facilities available at the meeting location for changing before and after your trip.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
