Broadway just got turned Upside Down — and it might be the most spectacular thing to happen to live theatre in years. Stranger Things: The First Shadow, the most Tony Award-winning play of the season, is a pulse-racing theatrical event at the Marquis Theatre in New York City. From Netflix and multi-award-winning producer Sonia Friedman Productions, and directed by three-time Tony winner Stephen Daldry, this standalone play takes you back to 1959 Hawkins, Indiana, long before Eleven and the gang ever showed up. Here, a teenage boy named Henry Creel is just trying to start over — until a wave of mysterious crimes forces him to confront a terrifying question about himself.

This is a show for fans of Stranger Things and people who've never watched a single episode. The storytelling is gripping and self-contained, the special effects earned a Special Tony Award for a reason, and the overall theatrical spectacle is genuinely unlike anything else currently on Broadway. Entertainment Weekly called it "a jaw-dropping, must-see theatrical marvel." The New York Times asked "how the hell did they do this?" If you're visiting New York City and want an experience that'll have you talking for weeks, this is it. Guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
