Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: 4+ and be able to swim
• Weight: Participants under 50 pounds must supply their own coast guard certified PFD with a strap that goes between the legs. 
• Health limitations: Please make note of any medical conditions at the time of booking. If asthmatic please bring your inhaler and participants with allergies, bring your epi-pin. 
• Physical limitations: All participants must be able to swim. Please make note of any physical limitations at the time of booking.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: All participants under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Pets: Well behaved and obedient dogs are allowed, but must be registered directly with the experience provider. You must provide a PFD for your dog and pay for a tube rental.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: 1-2 hours 
• What’s included: A quality standard tube (with or without a seat bottom), U.S. Coast Guard approved PFD, and shuttle service. 
• Who will be present: Crew members will be there to assist you with put-in and take-out on the river, but this is a self-guided adventure down the river. There can be up to 80 total participants in each group. 
• Spectators: Everyone participating in the trip must have a reservation. 
• Photo/ video: You are welcome to take photos and video, however please keep in mind that your camera/cell phone will get wet without a waterproof case. A strap is also recommended, so it does not fall into the river!
• Specific rules to follow: 
  • All participants must sign a waiver
  • All participants must wear a PFD while on the river
  • No alcohol is allowed, and all participants must be sober
  • Flip flops are not allowed
  • All other rules will be covered at the time of check in

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: This experience is weather dependent. In the case of inclement weather please contact the experience provider directly. 
• Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance
• Parking: There is free parking available at the meeting location. 
• What to wear: Comfortable quick-dry water attire appropriate for the weather. Shoes with a good rubber sole that hook to your feet, such as old sneakers, velcro sandals, aqua sox, etc. Flip flops are not permitted.
• What to bring:
  • A towel, extra dry clothing, sun hat or visor, water (at least 32 oz), sunglasses, strap for glasses, and sunscreen.
  • Inhaler or epi-pin (if needed for medical conditions or allergies).
  • Waterproof bag or case if you decide to bring your phone or camera along.
  • Coolers are allowed if you wish to bring non-alcoholic beverages and snacks with you on the river. A cooler tube and strap to connect your cooler to you on the river is available for rent directly with the experience provider.
  • You are also welcome to bring a picnic for before or after your trip!
• Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Changing tents and porta johns are available at the meeting location.

What do you need for tubing at Harpers Ferry?

You'll need a swimsuit, towel, water shoes, sunscreen, and any personal items you want to bring. Most facilities provide all necessary tubing gear.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
