Attendees of the Wine Tasting 101 experience will be led through a series of curated tastings designed to broaden their wine knowledge and refine their palates for a lifelong journey with wine. This class is perfect for anyone from self-described wine aficionados to those with a simple love and appreciation for wine, promising an enriching departure for all. An expert Sommelier will guide participants through the nuances of various wines, including popular varietals like Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, Pinot Noir, and Merlot.

The experience goes beyond tasting, offering an educational journey into the language of Sommeliers, the expansive world of wines, their histories, and regions. Participants will learn about tasting techniques, explore flavor profiles and grape characteristics, and discover pairing strategies along with practical tips for everyday wine enjoyment.

Who can you accommodate for?

  • Children: This experience is not suitable for children.
  • Pets: This experience is not suitable for pets.
  • Dietary restrictions: Can adapt to vegetarian friendly, dairy free, egg free, vegan friendly, kosher friendly fish free and shellfish free diet restrictions.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: This class is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes long. 
  • What’s included: All instruction, equipment and ingredients needed.
  • Who will be present: You will have a teacher with you at all times; also, other guests may be joining (from 8 to 20 people). 
  • Spectators: Everyone must have a ticket/reservations.
  • Photo/ video: Photography is allowed and encouraged.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: This is an indoor experience
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance
  • Parking: You can park at the experience location.
  • What to wear: We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. Please dress in clothing you won't mind getting dirty.
  • What to bring: No outside drinks are allowed.
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: There are restrooms at the experience location.

FAQs

What should I expect on the day of the class?

Arrive a few minutes early to check in with the chef instructor using the ticket holder’s name. No need to bring a printed confirmation. The class will typically start with an introduction and a brief overview of the recipes you'll be preparing. Ingredients and cooking stations will be provided, and the chef will guide you through each step. After cooking, you'll enjoy the delicious meal you've created.

Why do classes work together in groups?

Cooking classes are designed to be a social and interactive experience. Working in groups encourages collaboration, allows for sharing of tips and techniques, and enhances the fun of the learning process. It's also a great way to meet new people who share your interests.

Can you accommodate food allergies?

Will I eat the food after cooking?

Yes! Enjoying the meal you've prepared is the best reward for all your efforts.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly.
