Stained Glass & Mosaic Classes

Glass, Color and Light in Your Hands

Stained glass is one of those crafts people admire for years before trying, and these classes finally give them the chance. Browse the wider range of creative experience gifts or the full collection of craft workshops, but if you have been searching for stained glass classes near me in New York or the Bay Area, this is the place to start. Sessions run in working studios in Brooklyn, San Francisco and San Jose, with tools, glass and safety gear included.

From First Cut to Finished Piece

Most classes walk you through choosing colors, scoring and breaking glass, foiling or setting the pieces and finishing the seams, so you leave with something ready to hang in a window or light up a room. Mosaic lamp workshops swap cutting for careful placement, pressing hundreds of small glass tiles into a pattern that glows once the bulb goes in. Instructors offer clear guidance for newcomers and plenty of room to experiment for more confident makers, so the classes are great fun for every skill level. If hot glass appeals too, take a look at our glassblowing classes. New glass and mosaic sessions are added through the year, so the choice keeps growing.

A Gift That Lasts Longer Than the Day

Few presents end with a keepsake made by the person who received it. A stained glass class makes a thoughtful choice for birthday gifts, a hands-on evening for anniversary gifts or a Christmas surprise for the friend who loves a project. Send an instant e-voucher by email in minutes, or choose a printed gift box if you prefer something to wrap.

Are stained glass classes right for every skill level?

Yes. No experience is needed, and instructors adapt to each person, so first timers and returning crafters both get plenty out of a session.

Is cutting and soldering glass safe?

Studios supply safety glasses, gloves where needed and careful instruction on cutting and soldering, and most classes set a minimum age, so check the details before booking.
