This self-guided GPS adventure trades Houston traffic for open Texas backroads, with a route preloaded into the Slingshot so no navigating is required. Rolling curves, wooded stretches, open landscapes and small-town scenery fill the drive, with no group to keep pace with and no schedule beyond the open road.

The route leads to Yankee's Tavern, a laid-back Texas bar and grill popular with riders and road-trip travelers, where a meal or a nonalcoholic drink and a bit of local atmosphere make for a welcome break before the return drive. It is a memorable pick for couples, birthdays, visiting guests or anyone looking for a true Texas road trip behind the wheel of a Polaris Slingshot.

Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: All drivers must be at least 21 years old
• Experience level: All levels are welcome; no prior Slingshot experience required

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: Children may ride as passengers as long as they are tall enough for the factory seat belt to fit properly and can stay safely seated for the ride
• Individuals with disabilities: Not wheelchair accessible; guests must be able to safely enter and exit a low-profile, open-air vehicle and sit with the seat belt fastened

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: 4 hours, including the drive to Yankee's Tavern, time at the destination, refueling and the return to Houston
• What's included: Polaris Slingshot rental with unlimited miles and a preloaded self-guided GPS route to Yankee's Tavern and back
• Who will be present: This is a self-guided drive; no guide accompanies participants, up to 2 people per Slingshot
• Photo/video: Photos are allowed and encouraged
• Specific rules to follow: The driver must remain completely alcohol-free at all times. Food and drinks at Yankee's Tavern are purchased separately. The vehicle must be refueled with premium gasoline before returning

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: Polaris Slingshots are open-air vehicles; if severe weather prevents the tour from taking place, guests may reschedule for another date or receive a refund
• Arrival: Plan to arrive a few minutes early for check-in and a walkthrough of the Slingshot controls and GPS route
• Parking: Free parking is available on site
• What to wear: Dress for open-air, outdoor conditions and check the weather forecast beforehand
• What to bring:
  • A valid driver's license
  • A method of payment for food or drinks at Yankee's Tavern
• Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms: Restrooms are available at Yankee's Tavern during the destination stop

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• A $300 refundable security deposit is due at pickup

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
