• Age: All participants must be 18+ to register, minors with a ticket are welcome with a ticketed, supervising adult.
• Physical limitations: Participants should be able to sit for up to two hours and use their hands for shaping clay.
• Experience level: All levels are welcome; no prior pottery or art experience is needed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: Approximately 2 hours.
• What’s included:
  • All materials and tools to create a handmade ceramic mug
  • Step-by-step instruction from a Pottery with a Purpose instructor
  • Ticket includes two professional kiln firings + glazing for up to 2 mugs. This is essential so your pottery pieces are food-safe and waterproof. Pick between white or clear glaze.
  • Shipping your pieces back to you once they are finished is also included. *Note that painting your pottery is not part of the workshop unless otherwise noted.
  • One drink included from Travelmug Café’s menu (additional beverages available for purchase)
• Who will be present: A pottery instructor will lead the workshop, and other participants (up to 20 guests) will share the creative space.
• Spectators: Only ticketed guests may participate.
• Photo/ video: Guests are encouraged to take photos during the session.
• Specific rules to follow: Guests must follow safety and cleanliness guidelines provided by the instructor and venue staff.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: This is an indoor experience.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before the session starts to check in and get settled.
• Parking: Parking is available near Travelmug Café in Boston.
• What to wear: Comfortable clothing that can get a little messy; aprons are provided.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• Participants can take home their handmade pottery piece after the session.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 72 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 72 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
