Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: Must be 21 years old or older to rent, but the minimum age to be a passenger is 7 years old.
• Health limitations: It’s ok to go if you are pregnant. However, keep in mind these car small and bumpy cars, please consult with your lead doctor if he allows you to participate in these types of activities.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: The minimum age to be a passenger is 7 years old, but the partner does not accommodate car seats for children. All riders must sign a standard participant agreement.
• Pets: This is a pet friendly experience.
• Languages: The following languages are available: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: 2 hours plus check in time of 15 minutes
• What’s included:
  • A rental of an electric powered E-sport car with GPS that will guide you, tell you stories and facts, crack jokes, and provide recommendations. You can explore at your pace and detour from the tour as you please to make stops for photos, coffee, lunch, or whatever else you may feel like!
  • Go where tour buses can’t in these tiny cars!
• Who will be present: The cars hold a maximum of 2 people. This is a self-guided tour, no one else will be present.
• Photo/ video: If it’s personal use you can bring your camera and GoPro, however you may need to have permits to fly a drone in the San Francisco Bay Area. If it’s for commercial use you may need permits for some areas in the city.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: San Diego enjoys some sun 360 days per year and only 8.24"" of rain per year. Luckily, most of the rain and high winds are readily predictable. When we expect poor conditions, the partner will cancel the trip and refund or reschedule. On average 3 days a year are cancelled in this manner. Occasionally a trip will be affected by unexpected clouds or inclement weather. The partner assumes no responsibility for, nor do we have any control of the weather in the area. The partner endeavors to be well studied and to make well informed go/no-go decisions, but no refunds will be given should the resulting conditions become unfavorable.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance. All riders must sign a standard participant agreement.
• Parking: Parking is available on site
• What to wear: Comfortable clothing appropriate for weather conditions is recommended
• What to bring:
  • a valid driving license (international license is not necessary)
  • a credit card or cash for the security deposit
• Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: You may stop when and where you want.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• On the day of rental, a security deposit will be held on your credit card until the GoCar is returned.
• Renters will have the option to purchase Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance on the day of rental.
• Renters are free to extend the length of their tour on the day of rental. Additional rental time will be charged in 15-minute increments.
• You don’t have to stay on route; you can go FREESTYLE if you want to, no problem. But the car only talks on the designated routes.
• All vehicles are covered by a liability policy for the legal state minimums that provide 3rd parties around you with coverage in event of an accident. Your rental agreement however, excludes our renters from accessing that policy. So you may be liable for damages or losses that occur during your rental. We offer you extra insurance options to manage your liability that your rental may incur such as a CDW and SLI. Ask our agents about these options when you arrive.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 7 days before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 7 days in advance means losing the value of your experience.
