Embark on the Dolphin Excursion for an unforgettable 3-hour adventure along Waianae's scenic coastline. Guided by lifeguard-certified marine biologists and naturalists, this tour provides the best chance to swim with wild dolphins, including bottlenose, spotted, and spinner dolphins. During the winter months, guests can also spot humpback whales. The tour includes snorkeling with sea turtles and tropical fish at nearby reefs, ensuring a diverse and immersive marine experience. With a maximum of 16 guests per tour, participants enjoy a more intimate and eco-friendly excursion!

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: 3 hours. Tour may go slightly longer based on participant engagement throughout the tour.
• What’s included: Snorkel gear, guided tour by lifeguard-certified marine biologists and naturalists.
• Who will be present: You will have a guide with you at all times along with up to 16 total participants.
• Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket/reservation.
• Photo/ video: You may take your own photos, and GoPro rentals are available.
• Specific rules to follow: Follow the guide’s instructions at all times, especially regarding interaction with marine life.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: This is an outdoor experience; rain or shine, the tour will proceed.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive 30 minutes in advance for check-in, waiver signing, and gear fitting.
• Parking: Parking is available at Waianae Boat Harbor.
• What to wear: Wear a swimsuit under your clothes and bring a towel.
• What to bring:
  • Water bottle, snacks, and beverages (BYOB, no glass bottles)
  • Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, long sleeve jacket
  • Motion sickness medicine if needed
• Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms are available at the harbor, but there are no changing rooms.

• If no dolphins are found, you will receive a return trip voucher.
• GoPro rentals available (you keep the SD card)

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
