Looking to master the art of hand rolling sushi? Join us for an exciting sushi class in San Diego where you'll learn the secrets to creating your own delicious sushi rolls like a pro!
Led by our experienced Chef, this interactive and hands-on class will guide you through the process of preparing the perfect sushi rice, expertly cutting fresh ingredients, and mastering the art of rolling. Get ready to engage all your senses in this casual and easy-to-follow class!
During the class, you'll have the opportunity to make three variations of sushi rolls, including a Tuna or Salmon roll, a classic California Roll, and a special "catch of the day" roll featuring locally sourced fish and sustainable ingredients. Unleash your creativity by trying different combinations, rolling with seaweed both inside and out, and developing your own unique sushi creations.
No prior experience is necessary as we provide all the equipment and ingredients. If you don't have them in your home kitchen, don't worry, they're easy to find at local markets. Our goal is to create a fun and instructive experience for all participants, whether you're a seasoned cooking enthusiast or a first-timer looking to observe and assist (or taste-test) along the way.
Remember to arrive 15 minutes early for check-in and make use of the provided aprons throughout the class. Our venue partner, Duckfoot Brewing, will also offer a delightful selection of drinks available for purchase. Please note that drinks are not included in the ticket price, and outside beverages are not permitted. Get ready for an unforgettable sushi adventure!

What to expect on the day of the experience?

Duration: This class is approximately 2 hours long.
What’s included: All instruction, equipment and ingredients needed.
Who will be present: You will have a teacher with you at all times; also, other guests may be joining (from 8 to 24 people).
Spectators: Everyone must have a ticket/reservations.
Photo/ video: Photography is allowed and encouraged.

What to wear: We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. Please dress in clothing you won't mind getting dirty.
What to bring:
No outside drinks are allowed, venue will have drinks available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price.
Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: There are restrooms at the experience location.

What should I expect on the day of the class?

Arrive a few minutes early to check in with the chef instructor using the ticket holder’s name. No need to bring a printed confirmation. The class will typically start with an introduction and a brief overview of the recipes you'll be preparing. Ingredients and cooking stations will be provided, and the chef will guide you through each step. After cooking, you'll enjoy the delicious meal you've created.

Why do classes work together in groups?

Cooking classes are designed to be a social and interactive experience. Working in groups encourages collaboration, allows for sharing of tips and techniques, and enhances the fun of the learning process. It's also a great way to meet new people who share your interests.

Yes! Enjoying the meal you've prepared is the best reward for all your efforts.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly.
