This experience offers a comprehensive introduction to aviation, where you and your fellow student will dive into the world of flight and flight preparation, led by an experienced FAA Certified Flight Instructor.
Upon your arrival at the Chicago Executive Airport, you'll be assigned an instructor who will guide you through all the steps a real pilot accomplishes before, during, and after a typical flight. This real flight lesson isn't just about observation; it's about hands-on learning. You and your co-pilot will take on the role of the pilot-in-command. You'll be responsible for pre-flight procedures, taxiing the aircraft, communicating with the control tower, and even assisting with takeoff. Once you're airborne, you'll perform a range of in-flight maneuvers, all while your instructor provides guidance and instructions.
The flight path takes you from Chicago Executive Airport to Waukegan Airport, and along the way, you'll enjoy breathtaking aerial views of Highland Park, Historic Fort Sheridan, Lake Forest, and the Great Lakes Naval Base. Upon landing at Waukegan Airport, you'll have the unique opportunity to switch seats with your fellow student. It's a fantastic way to share the joys of a flight lesson and create lifelong memories together.
This experience includes approximately 1 hour of flying time split between both students, making it an ideal way to explore the world of aviation.
What is the difference between the chief pilot and a normal pilot? While all of this partners' pilots are qualified and certified to fly and instruct flights, their chief pilots do come with more experience and accolades that may provide more comfort during your flight.
