Have you ever imagined taking control of a helicopter, soaring through the skies? Seize your chance with an introductory helicopter flight lesson that combines thrill and education.

Begin with a comprehensive ground lesson and a preflight helicopter inspection led by your FAA-certified instructor, covering the essentials of helicopter controls, safety measures, and flight theory.

Once preflight checks are done, it’s time to climb into the pilot’s seat, take the controls, and experience the exhilaration of flying a helicopter. You'll practice fundamental maneuvers such as straight and level flight, climbs, descents, and navigating turns.

Embark on an unforgettable adventure, from engine ignition to flying over Oregon’s picturesque wine country, with views of the Cascade and Pacific Coastal mountain ranges, making memories that will last a lifetime!

Practical information

Any restrictions to participate?

  • Age: 13+
  • Weight: Cannot exceed 230 pounds
  • Height: There is no height limit
  • Experience level: No experience necessary

Who can you accommodate for?

  • Children: Children must be at least 13 years old. All participants under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who must sign a waiver on their behalf.
  • Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: 42 minutes of flight time, but plan for at least 2 hours for the entire experience including ground school, flight, debriefing, etc.  
  • What’s included: Special Flight Awareness Training and 42 minutes of flight time, plus complimentary merchandise and an official logbook.
  • Who will be present: This is a private experience for one person. You will have an FAA certified flight instructor with you at all times. 
  • Spectators: Spectators are welcome to join to watch and take photos of the takeoff and landing.
  • Photo/ video: Photos and video are encouraged!

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: This is a weather dependent experience. If you have any questions regarding weather conditions please contact the experience provider directly. 
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance
  • Parking: There is parking available onsite.
  • What to wear: Comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather conditions and flat, closed toe shoes like sneakers.
  • What to bring:
    • Valid identification
    • Gratuity for your instructor is greatly appreciated if you enjoy the experience.
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms are available onsite, but there are no lockers or changing rooms.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 72 hours prior to your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, please contact the Giftory support team. No-shows or rescheduling less than 72 hours in advance means losing the full value of your experience.
