Overview

Take the first turns of a new winter hobby on a learn to ski or snowboard day trip from New York City to Camelback in the Poconos, Pennsylvania. Every package includes round trip transportation, a lift ticket and a beginner lesson, so newcomers can simply show up and start learning.

🎓 Learn the basics in a lesson designed for beginner and green level riders

🎿 Gear up with a rental package or bring your own setup

⏰ Leave the city midmorning, no dawn alarm required

🌙 Practice on lit trails as the day turns into a twilight session

Learning to ski or snowboard is much easier when someone else handles the logistics, and this day trip from New York City to Camelback takes care of nearly everything. After a relaxed midmorning pickup, riders travel in a heated coach to the mountain, where a lesson for beginner and green level skiers and snowboarders helps them find their footing on the snow. A trip leader travels with the group and is around at the resort, which takes the guesswork out of a first trip to the mountain.

There are five packages, so the gift can be matched to the rider's sport and how much of the mountain they want to explore. The Beginner Area Lift Bus Lesson & Ski Rental and Beginner Area Lift Bus Lesson & Board Rental packages include a lift ticket for the beginner area along with rentals, while the All Area Lift Bus Lesson & Ski Rental and All Area Lift Bus Lesson & Board Rental packages open up the whole mountain. For anyone who already has their own gear, the All Area Lift Bus & Lesson package pairs the lesson with full mountain access. Ski rentals include skis, boots, poles and a helmet, and snowboard rentals include a board, boots, bindings and a helmet. After practicing on trails that stay lit into the evening, riders can enjoy a complimentary drink at the base lodge before relaxing on the ride back to the city.
