The Michelin Guide's storied history began in 1889 in the quaint town of Clermont-Ferrand, France, where brothers Andre and Edouard Michelin founded their now-iconic tire company. Their vision soon extended beyond automobiles, crafting a travel guide to enrich the road experience. That simple idea evolved into today’s prestigious Michelin Guide—globally recognized for its meticulous restaurant ratings and the coveted Michelin stars.
Today, a Michelin star is a global symbol of excellent cooking, judging quality of ingredients, harmony of flavors, technical mastery, creativity, and consistency. With gift cards available in denominations of $100, $200, $300, $400, and $500, your recipient can enjoy part or all of their experience. Whether they’re drawn to a signature tasting menu or searching for a good restaurant for a special celebration, Washington DC’s Michelin-starred scene offers a special journey for every palate.

Purchasing a Card
“Card” means (i) a Giftory Value Card issued by Giftory and redeemable only on the Giftory website and apps for eligible purchases, and (ii) a Partner Brand Card (e.g., a closed-loop gift card for a third-party merchant) that Giftory sells as an authorized reseller on behalf of the applicable third-party issuer (the “Issuer”). Cards are offered exclusively (A) on Giftory’s website and any mobile applications, and (B) through Giftory-authorized third-party resellers or marketplaces. Giftory may refuse, cancel, or limit any order and may impose per-person, per-account, or per-payment-method purchase limits to deter fraud, bulk buying, or commercial resale. Partner Brand Cards are subject to the Issuer’s terms and policies (including redemption locations, balance rules, and customer service); in the event of a conflict, the Issuer’s terms govern redemption and use of the Partner Brand Card. Cards are not redeemable for cash except as required by applicable law. We are not responsible for Cards obtained from any unauthorized seller; such Cards may be invalid, refused, or ineligible for support or replacement.
No Resale
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and, for Partner Brand Cards, by the applicable Issuer’s terms, Cards (and their associated numbers, barcodes, or redemption codes) are non-transferable, may not be resold, bartered, or offered for resale, and are void if resold. Without limiting the foregoing: (i) you may give a Card as a bona fide gift to a natural person for personal use and without consideration; any other transfer for value is prohibited; (ii) Giftory may decline, deactivate, or cancel any Card, refuse redemption, or close or limit accounts where we reasonably suspect resale, brokering, scraping, bulk purchasing, fraud, or abuse; and (iii) Cards listed by or purchased from unauthorized sellers are not eligible for balance protection, replacement, or customer support and may be refused. For Partner Brand Cards, additional resale and transfer restrictions (or permissions) may be set by the Issuer and will apply to the extent they do not conflict with non-waivable consumer rights. Nothing in this “No Resale” section limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law (e.g., cash-back requirements, or jurisdictions that mandate certain transferability), nor does it restrict any rights expressly preserved by the Issuer’s terms for Partner Brand Cards.
