In the bustling city of Minneapolis, a realm of mystery and paranormal intrigue awaits. Join the Minneapolis Ghost Tour for a captivating exploration of the city's spectral history.

Sample Itinerary:

  • Mill Ruins Park: The home of an infamous mill explosion in 1878, phantoms of the men who died have been seen as a whirlwind of flesh.
  • Guthrie Theater: Before moving to this new location, the Guthrie theater was consistently visited by the spirit of a former usher.
  • Washington Avenue Bridge: Spanning the Mississippi river, the paranormal activity around the bridge stems from the numerous suicides that have occurred here.
  • Foshay Tower: The first skyscraper to be built west of the Mississippi River, the halls are said to be roamed by the man who built it.
  • Minneapolis City Hall: Housing an infamous jail, Minneapolis City Hall was the home of a botched public executions whose apparitions are said to still wander the cells.
  • The Depot: Originally a train station with service to Milwaukee, a mysterious man in a fedora has been spotted by one unfortunate business traveler.
  • St. Anthony Main: This former encampment of Union soldiers has its share of legends from the Dakota tribe that originally inhabited the region to the children working in the factories that were once located here.
  • Soap Factory: This one time soap factory is home to mysterious shadow people as well as other paranormal activity.
  • Hennepin Avenue Bridge: Learn of the terrifying Smiley Face murder club and the mythical Waterman.

Any restrictions to participate?

  • Age: Recommended for 12+. If under 18 years old, participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Who can you accommodate for?

  • Children: While tours do not contain anything too graphic or inappropriate, we find that kids that enjoy history have the best time. You know your children best and that's left up to you. We do not recommend bringing children in strollers because sometimes that can be difficult with larger walking groups. All participants must pay to join, children included.
  • Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed. 
  • Individuals with disabilities: The tour route is wheelchair-accessible and service animals are welcome. If anyone in your group will be using a wheelchair please make a note at the time of booking.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: 1.5 hours
  • What’s included: 
    • Expert paranormal guide 
    • Fully narrated walking tour
  • Who will be present: Your expert guide and up to 30 participants.
  • Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket.
  • Photo/ video: You may take your own photos.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the experience will be running.
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of the tour.
  • Parking: There is some meter parking at Mill Ruins Park, but it is recommended to use Spothero to find downtown parking and give yourself plenty of time.
  • What to wear: Comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for weather conditions.
  • What to bring:
    • Camera
    • Bottle of water

     

  • Gratuity: Gratuity for your guide is greatly appreciated if you enjoy the tour. $3-$5 per person is suggested.
  • Restrooms: It is recommended to use the restroom prior to the tour.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule in the case of an emergency, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows mean losing the value of your experience.
