The experience begins with 40 minutes of ground instruction where a certified flight instructor walks through the basics—think instruments, flight controls, and safety essentials. After that, it’s time to hit the skies for 20 minutes of actual flight time. You'll taxi, take off, and navigate the aircraft alongside your instructor for a first-hand look at the pilot’s seat.

Whether it's a bucket-list goal or just a fresh way to experience New Jersey’s airspace, this flight lesson makes a big impression. It’s open to anyone 13 and up, with space for one or two participants per session, making it great for solo adventurers or adventurous pairs. Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: Participants must be at least 13 years old.
• Weight: Maximum individual weight is 275 lbs; maximum combined weight for two persons is 425 lbs.
• Health limitations: Not suitable for those with serious medical conditions that could interfere with flying.
• Experience level: All levels are welcome.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: This is not an experience for young children. All participants must be at least 13 years old.
• Individuals with disabilities: Not wheelchair accessible.
• Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: 1 hour total – 40 minutes of ground instruction followed by 20 minutes of flight time.
• What’s included: One-hour flight lesson experience with a Certified Flight Instructor, flight time in a training aircraft, pre-flight ground instruction.
  • $35 airport fee per person
• Who will be present: A Certified Flight Instructor will be present at all times during the experience.
• Spectators: Spectators may be allowed at the airport viewing area but cannot join the flight.
• Photo/ video: Guests may take their own photos; photography is encouraged.
• Specific rules to follow: A valid photo ID is required, and a waiver must be signed prior to flight. Reservations and 48-hour advance notice are required.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: Flights may be rescheduled in the event of weather conditions deemed unsafe by the operator.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes in advance to check in and complete pre-flight procedures.
• Parking: Free parking is available on-site at Linden Airport.
• What to wear: Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended.
• What to bring:
  • Valid government-issued ID, camera or phone for photos.
  • Gratuity for the flight instructor
• Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms are available on-site.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• Non-refundable due to weather but can be rescheduled.
