After purchase, you can request your preferred dates and times by following the instructions in the email you receive. If it's a gift, the recipient will also get an email with booking instructions.

Practical information

Any restrictions to participate?

Age: All ages are welcome, but you must be at least 18 years old to rent the boat.
Weight: Combined weight of all passengers cannot exceed 600 pounds.
Physical limitations: At least 1-2 people in your group need to be able to pedal the boat for the duration of your cruise.
Experience level: All levels are welcome. The experience is similar to riding a bike on a flat road.

Who can you accommodate for?

Children: There is no minimum age requirement, however it is recommended to bring a car seat or carrier for infants. Children 13 years old and under are required to wear a PFD at all times, which is included in the rental.
Pets: Dogs are welcome onboard and life jackets are provided.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

Duration: 1 or 2 hours, depending on the option selected.
What’s included:

- Adult’s, kid’s and dog’s life jackets
- Verbal safety instructions and orientation
Who will be present: The rental is private for your group size with a maximum capacity of 3 adults and 1 child. Dogs are welcome onboard as well and the boat can fit up to 2 adults and 2 small/medium dogs.
Spectators: All participants must be included on the reservation and attend the operation orientation and safety instruction session at check in.
Photo/ video: Photos are encouraged!
Specific rules to follow: Alcohol is not allowed on the boat and swimming is not allowed from the boats. The boats are not designed for fishing, however you are welcome to try so long as you have a fishing license and you do not use live bait.

How to prepare?

Weather dependency: This experience is weather dependent. In the event of severe weather please contact the experience provider directly.
Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your reservation to ensure you can find parking and locate the dock. Once you arrive, the crew will check you in, provide you with life jackets, and go through basic operation orientation and safety instructions.
Parking: Parking is limited at the dock, especially on weekends and in the summertime. It is recommended to Uber or Lyft so you can be dropped off right in front of the H&M Landing. If you plan on driving, please arrive early to find parking. There is a paid public lot with limited spaces at 1403 Scott Street ($2/hr), free street parking in nearby neighborhoods, or a free parking lot at 1150 Anchorage Lane which is about a 5-7 minute walk to the dock.
What to wear: Comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather and that you do not mind potentially getting wet.
What to bring:
- Towel for your pup to sit on
- Sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses
- Water bottle and any snacks or food you’d like to enjoy on the water
Restrooms: Restrooms are available onsite.

The water bicycles, known as "Eco Boats," offer a unique and eco-friendly way to explore San Diego's landmarks while enjoying a memorable experience with family or friends. Pedal through America's Cup Harbor, Harbor Island, and Liberty Station, getting close to sea lions and local birds. The modern pedal boats provide shaded comfort and are dog-friendly, ensuring a unique outing for everyone!

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
