What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: Approximately 7 hours. The tour may go slightly longer based on participant engagement throughout the experience.

• Spectators: No spectators are allowed; everyone must have a ticket/reservation.
• Photo/ video: You are encouraged to take your own photos throughout the experience, especially on Alcatraz Island.
• Specific rules to follow: Participants need to follow the guide’s instructions during the city tour and Alcatraz Island’s regulations.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the experience will be running.
• Arrival: Expect pickup at your hotel in San Francisco up to half an hour before the activity start time.
• Parking: Participants are encouraged to use public transportation or rideshare to get back to your accommodation after the tour.
• What to wear: Dress in layers, as San Francisco weather can be highly variable. Wear comfortable walking shoes, especially for Alcatraz Island.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• Alcatraz Cruises requires all guest names on the ticket manifest, and photo ID is needed for ticket pickup.
• Be prepared for a lot of walking on Alcatraz Island, and note that no food is available on the island, and picnicking is not allowed.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
