Six Flags Great America sits on more than 275 acres in Gurnee, Illinois, roughly halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee. Known as the Thrill Capital of the Midwest, the park is marking its 50th anniversary in 2026 with more than a dozen roller coasters, including Goliath, Raging Bull, and Maxx Force, which launches from 0 to 78 mph in under two seconds. This ticket includes full-day admission to the park's rides, live shows, and themed areas, from Carousel Plaza to Southwest Territory.

Three dedicated children's areas make the park accommodating for younger visitors, and dining options are available throughout. This ticket does not include Hurricane Harbor Chicago, parking, food, or access to any separately ticketed events.

Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: All ages are welcome. Guests ages 15 and under must be accompanied by a chaperone at least 21 years old to enter or remain in the park.
• Height: No height restriction to enter the park. Individual rides post their own height requirements at the ride entrance and in the park map.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: Children ages 2 and under are admitted free. All other children require a paid ticket.
• Individuals with disabilities: The park offers accessibility resources for guests with disabilities, including wheelchair users. Guests are encouraged to register for an IBCCES Accessibility Card before visiting.
• Pets: Not permitted, with the exception of trained service animals.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: Valid for one full day of admission on a selected operating date.
• What's included: Single-day access to rides, attractions, and live shows. Hurricane Harbor Chicago is not included.
• Photo/video: Photos and videos are welcome throughout the park.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: This is a mostly outdoor experience. Refunds and rain checks are not offered for weather-related closures.
• Arrival: The park typically opens around 10 AM; checking the daily schedule before visiting is recommended.
• Parking: Paid parking is available on-site and is not included with admission.
• What to wear: Shirts, shorts or pants, and shoes are required at all times, and offensive clothing or graphics are not permitted.
• What to bring:
  • Outside food, beverages, and coolers are not permitted, aside from approved medical or infant dietary needs
  • Refillable souvenir bottles are available in the park with free refills
  • All-day lockers are available near the front gate
• Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms: Restrooms and all-day locker rentals are available near the front gate.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• The park operates seasonally from April through November, plus select fall event dates.
• Guests who leave and plan to return the same day should get a hand stamp at the exit/re-entry gate before leaving.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.
