Imagine breezing through Harvard Square, feeling the academic prestige in the air, then cruising by the Charles River with the Boston skyline painting the perfect backdrop. Not just a feast for the eyes, this tour takes you past architectural wonders like Frank Gehry’s Stata Center, across the iconic Longfellow Bridge, and right into the heart of MIT's buzzing campus. With an expert guide leading the way and all the necessary gear provided, including individually fitted bicycles and helmets, this journey is as effortless as it is enlightening. Any restrictions to participate?

  • Age: 10+
  • Physical limitations: Need to be able to bike approximately 12-14 miles.
  • Experience level: Participants must be comfortable cycling on city streets.

Who can you accommodate for?

  • Children: Recommended for children at least 10 years old and confident cyclists. Children under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: 2.5-3 hours
  • What’s included: Individually-fitted bike, helmet, and friendly and knowledgeable guide.
  • Who will be present: You will have a guide with you at all times as well as up to 25 total participants.
  • Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a reservation.
  • Photo/ video: Photos and video are encouraged when stopped on the tour.
  • Specific rules to follow: Burley trailers, trail-a-bikes, and tandem bikes are not permitted on this tour. Participants must be at least 16 years old and 5 feet tall to ride an electric bike. All participants must wear a helmet while on the tour.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the experience will be running.
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes in advance to get fitted with your bike. 
  • Parking: Metered street parking and parking garages are available near the bike shop. It is recommended to use a parking app like SpotHero or ParkWhiz to find parking.
  • What to wear: Comfortable, athletic clothing and sneakers appropriate for the weather conditions.
  • What to bring: Identification, snack, sunscreen, sunglasses
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms are available at the bike shop and if needed you may store any personal items during the tour.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
