The Gameroom Powered by Hasbro at American Dream in East Rutherford, NJ puts a playful twist on the latest in arcade gaming, and G.I. Joe Battle Station Laser Tag is at the heart of the action. As the first and only G.I. Joe laser tag experience, it drops players into the classic clash between G.I. Joe and Cobra. Every round starts with a mission briefing, then it's time to gear up and head into the field with teammates.

Lead Team G.I. Joe to a courageous victory or launch a stealth counter-offense with Team Cobra in this intense, team-based take on laser tag. It's an action-packed pick for birthdays, family outings, or anyone who grew up with the action figures and always wanted to join the mission.

Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: All ages are welcome. Guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult 21 or older from 4PM until close.
• Height: Players are recommended to be at least 42 inches tall.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: All participants must pay to participate, children included.
• Individuals with disabilities:
  • American Dream is ADA accessible, with wheelchair-friendly routes, elevators, ramps, and accessible restrooms throughout the complex
  • Wheelchair ($10) and ECV ($40) rentals are available at Guest Services A, Guest Services C, and the Nickelodeon Universe ticket counter
  • Several attractions at American Dream are designated Certified Autism Centers by IBCCES, with staff specially trained to assist guests with sensory sensitivities
  • Individual rides and attractions may have their own safety or transfer requirements
• Pets: Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted. Trained service animals are welcome but must remain leashed or harnessed and under the handler's control at all times, and some rides or attractions may have safety restrictions.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: About 20 minutes per round
• What's included:
  • One round of G.I. Joe Battle Station laser tag
  • A glowing sensor vest and a two-handed blaster
  • Mission briefing before heading into the field
• Who will be present: Staff will lead the mission briefing. Up to 28 players can compete at once as Team G.I. Joe or Team Cobra, so other guests may join the same round.
• Photo/video: Photos are allowed and encouraged.
• Specific rules to follow:
  • No running, jumping, climbing, or lying on the ground
  • Keep a 5-foot distance from other players

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: This is an indoor experience.
• Arrival: Arrive a few minutes prior to your booked game time
• Parking:
  • American Dream has more than 12,000 parking spaces
  • The first 15 minutes are free, then parking is $6 per vehicle for the duration of the visit
  • Event rates apply to vehicles parked during select MetLife Stadium events
• What to bring: Strollers are welcome, and stroller rentals ($11) are available at Guest Services and on the ground level of Parking Decks A, B, C, and D
• Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms:
  • Restrooms, family restrooms, and baby changing stations are available on site
  • Storage lockers are available for a fee at Guest Services A (Level 1), Deck B, and Deck C

• The Game room also offers 160+ arcade games, Ultimate Roller Games (a 9-lane Skee-Ball course), Gameroom Eats, the Game Bar, and the Candy Land Shake Bar, all available for purchase separately.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up until 11:59pm EST on your original booking date, subject to availability. Rescheduling costs a minimum of $5 per ticket, plus any difference in ticket price for the new date. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. Requests made after 11:59pm EST on the original date are at American Dream's discretion and subject to an extra fee, and no-shows mean losing the value of your experience.
