Sesame Street Learn & Play at American Dream in East Rutherford, NJ is the first-of-its-kind Sesame Street Educational Play Center in the United States. Kids are invited on an immersive trip to the friendliest street, where they'll join Elmo, Big Bird, Abby Cadabby, and the whole Sesame Street crew for playful learning and loads of laughter.

Every corner invites curiosity, from designing animals in Elmo's World to tending Abby Cadabby's Garden, with a playground, a dedicated toddler area, and interactive media at the Sunny Day Theater. Best suited to children 8 and under, it's a sweet gift for families, grandparents, or anyone planning a special day with a preschooler.

Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: All ages are welcome. All guests 17 and under must be accompanied by a supervising companion who is at least 18 years old.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: Children under 2 (23 months and under) can enter for free. All other guests need a valid ticket to enter.
• Individuals with disabilities:
  • American Dream is ADA accessible, with wheelchair-friendly routes, elevators, ramps, and accessible restrooms throughout the complex
  • Wheelchair ($10) and ECV ($40) rentals are available at Guest Services A, Guest Services C, and the Nickelodeon Universe ticket counter
  • Several attractions at American Dream are designated Certified Autism Centers by IBCCES, with staff specially trained to assist guests with sensory sensitivities
  • Individual rides and attractions may have their own safety or transfer requirements
  • Sensory-friendly days are offered on select dates, with reduced capacity, a music-free environment, support from IBCCES-certified staff, an on-site sensory room, and sensory bags available on request
• Pets: Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted. Trained service animals are welcome but must remain leashed or harnessed and under the handler's control at all times, and some rides or attractions may have safety restrictions.

• Who will be present: Other families will be exploring at the same time. A Supervising Companion must stay with children 17 and under at all times.
• Photo/video: Photos are allowed and encouraged.
• Specific rules to follow:
  • Tickets are valid only for the date and time selected
  • One-time entry per ticket; there is no re-entry after exiting
  • No outside food or beverages are allowed in the attraction

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: This is an indoor experience.
• Arrival: Arrive during the check-in time selected at booking. Hours vary by day, so review the ticket confirmation to plan the visit.
• Parking:
  • American Dream has more than 12,000 parking spaces
  • The first 15 minutes are free, then parking is $6 per vehicle for the duration of the visit
  • Event rates apply to vehicles parked during select MetLife Stadium events
• Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms:
  • Restrooms, family restrooms, and baby changing stations are available on site
  • Storage lockers are available for a fee at Guest Services A (Level 1), Deck B, and Deck C

• Play areas, activities, and costumed character appearances are subject to change or closure without notice.
• Tickets are not valid for special or private events.
• Lost or damaged tickets may be reissued with valid proof of purchase and ID. Questions about tickets can be taken to any American Dream guest services location.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up until 11:59pm EST on your original booking date, subject to availability. Rescheduling costs a minimum of $5 per ticket, plus any difference in ticket price for the new date. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. Requests made after 11:59pm EST on the original date are at American Dream's discretion and subject to an extra fee, and no-shows mean losing the value of your experience.
