On this tour, you'll discover how the NYC subway helped connect and develop Brooklyn, and you'll explore hidden histories and abandoned stations that are hidden in plain sight. Led by an expert guide, you'll learn about the history, architecture, and culture of the subway system in Brooklyn.

How long is the tour?
The tour length is approximately 2 hours.

Where does the tour meet?
The tour meets on the front steps of Brooklyn Borough Hall at 209 Joralemon St, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Your guide will hold an “Untapped New York” sign.

How far in advance do I need to book the tour?
We recommend booking the tour at least 1 week in advance to secure your spot.

Do I need to bring my own MetroCard?
Yes, one MetroCard swipe or OMNY tap will be required to enter the Subway (NOT included).

Is this tour recommended for people with mobility issues?
Unfortunately, due to the many steps up/down in the subway stations, this tour is not recommended for people with mobility issues.

What should I wear on the tour?
Please wear comfortable shoes as the subway can be loud and crowded. There is limited opportunity to sit during the tour.

Will we be visiting any restricted areas?
No, this tour visits areas open to the public and does not access any restricted areas.

Will the tour always follow the exact same route?
The exact route and tour length may vary slightly based on the MTA’s weekend schedule.

Where does the tour end?
The tour ends at the Barclay Center.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 72 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 72 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
