Embark on a unique, electric-powered catamaran ride through the serene waters of Elkhorn Slough at sunset. This narrated wildlife tour will take you on a peaceful cruise along one of California's largest tidal waterways, nestled between Santa Cruz and Monterey on Highway 1 in Moss Landing. With a drink in hand (BYOB), watch the sky transform with hues of orange and pink as you scan the calm waters for playful otters, sea lions, and a rich diversity of birds. A naturalist guide is on board to help spot wildlife and provide fascinating insights into this vibrant ecosystem.

• Children: All participants must pay to participate, including children. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Individuals with disabilities: Due to the nature of the catamaran, it is not wheelchair accessible.

• Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours of catamaran tour time.
• What's included:
  • A narrated cruise along the Elkhorn Slough, one of California's largest tidal waterways.
  • A naturalist on board to assist in wildlife spotting and answer questions.
  • Bathroom on board.
• Who will be present: A naturalist and captain will be with you throughout the tour, along with up to 7 other participants.
• Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket/reservation.
• Photo/video: You may take your own photos and are encouraged to share them. Bring a camera and binoculars if possible!
• Specific rules to follow: Follow the naturalist’s and captain’s instructions, and do not smoke.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: The tour operates rain or shine, but check the weather forecast and dress accordingly.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive 20 minutes in advance.
• Parking: You may park your car at the designated parking lot in Moss Landing.
• What to wear: Dress in layers as the weather can change drastically on the California Coast.
• What to bring:
  • Camera and binoculars.
  • A small water bottle if desired.
  • BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage).
• Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms: No changing rooms are available, but there is a bathroom on board.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• The minimum number of participants is 8. If this requirement is not met, you will be contacted via phone or email and rescheduled.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
