Tucked into a corner of one of the world's most famous parks, this zoo packs an impressive range of habitats into a compact, walkable footprint. Guests can catch scheduled penguin and sea lion feedings, wander past snow leopards and grizzly bears, and let the kids loose in a hands-on children's zoo full of farm animals.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: A ticket is required for every guest regardless of age
• Individuals with disabilities: The zoo is wheelchair accessible with complimentary wheelchairs available on a first-come, first-served basis; only trained service animals are permitted, comfort and emotional support animals do not qualify. Sensory bags with noise-canceling headphones and fidget tools are available at no cost
• Pets: Pets are not permitted, with the exception of trained service animals

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: Self-paced; most visits last 1 to 1.5 hours
• What's included: General admission to all zoo exhibits, the children's zoo, and one visit to the 4-D theater
• Who will be present: Keepers lead hands-on interactions at the children's zoo
• Spectators: Every guest needs a ticket, regardless of age
• Photo/video: Personal photography is welcome; tripods are restricted in several exhibits
• Specific rules to follow: The 4-D theater includes motion effects, loud sounds, fog, and flashing lights, and may not suit guests with certain sensory sensitivities or medical conditions; designated quiet, low-noise zones are available near high-noise exhibits

How to prepare?

• Arrival: Last entry is 1 hour before closing
• Parking: No on-site parking is available; the zoo is easily reached by subway and bus
• What to bring:
  • Strollers are welcome but must be self-parked before entering certain exhibits
  • Scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles, balloons, and radios/speakers are not permitted
• Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms: Restrooms are available on site; lockers are not available
