  • Age: All age groups are welcome.
  • Experience level: All levels are welcome, from beginners to those with lei-making experience.
Who can you accommodate for?
  • Children: Children are welcome; all participants must be registered.
  • Individuals with disabilities: Not specified; outdoor setting may include uneven ground.
  • Dietary restrictions: Allergies or preferences (vegan, pescatarian, etc.) must be disclosed in advance at the time of booking; on-site requests cannot be accommodated.
  • Pets: Not permitted.
What to expect on the day of the experience?
  • Duration: Approximately 2 hours.
    • Dinner: 4:00–5:00 PM (farm-to-table meal).
    • Lei tutorial: 5:00–6:00 PM (hands-on workshop and cultural storytelling).
  • What’s included: A prix fixe farm-to-table dinner, lei-making class with instruction, all materials sourced from the on-site lei garden.
  • Who will be present: A farm-to-table chef provides dinner, followed by a lei-making instructor leading the class. Group sizes may include up to 25 participants.
  • Spectators: Not permitted; all attendees must participate.
  • Photo/ video: Guests are welcome to take personal photos during the experience.
  • Specific rules to follow: Respect provided materials and tools; follow instructor guidance.
How to prepare?
  • Weather dependency: Event is primarily outdoors and runs rain or shine.
  • Arrival: Please arrive by 3:45 PM for check-in.
  • Parking: Available in the main parking area at 4900 Kuawa Rd, Kilauea, HI 96754; check in at the gift shop.

    • Sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
    • Light rain jacket or umbrella if rain is expected
