Over the course of three hours, participants will be guided by certified instructors who will teach essential techniques like breathing, breath-holding, and proper water entry. This experience is designed to boost confidence and prepare you for the next step: open water diving.

You'll start with a thorough review of freediving concepts, followed by hands-on practice in a confined water setting. Learn how to relax, breathe efficiently, and hold your breath for longer periods. This course also covers safety skills and equalization techniques, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident in the water. Whether you're new to freediving or looking to refine your skills, this introductory course is the perfect way to start your underwater journey. Plus, if you're inspired to continue, you can seamlessly transition to a PADI Freediver Certification later on.

Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: 10+ years old.
• Health limitations: Must be in good physical health.
• Physical limitations: Must be a confident swimmer and comfortable diving underwater.
• Experience level: No prior experience with snorkeling, skin diving, or freediving is required. All levels are welcome.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: All participants must pay to participate, children included.
• Languages: English-speaking instructor provided.
• Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: 3 hours. The experience may go slightly longer based on participant engagement.
• What’s included:
  • Instruction on safety skills, breathing techniques, diaphragm breathing, breath-up steps, recovery breathing, and equalization techniques.
  • Practice static breath hold, dynamic apnea, and proper water entry.
• Who will be present: A certified instructor will guide you throughout the experience. The course is typically conducted in a group setting.
• Spectators: No spectators are allowed; everyone must have a ticket/reservation.
• Photo/ video: You may take your own photos during the experience.
• Specific rules to follow: Follow the instructor’s guidance for safety and proper techniques.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: The experience is weather-dependent; the location will be determined by your instructor based on conditions.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive 10 minutes in advance.
• Parking: Parking can be difficult to find during peak hours, especially on weekends. Rideshare is recommended.
• What to wear: Swimsuit, wetsuit or exposure protection.
• What to bring:
  • Diving mask, snorkel, and fins (available for rent if needed)
  • Towel
  • Water (preferably not in single-use plastic)
  • Sunblock (preferably reef-safe)
  • Something to take notes
  • Weight belt & weights in small increments
• Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: No changing rooms available, but there will be bathroom breaks.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• The experience will take place either at the Blue Heron Bridge or nearby Pool (based on weather conditions)Participants are encouraged to review and sign the online waiver before the course. If medical clearance is needed, ensure this is completed before the experience.
• Discounted wetsuits are available through a partnership with Neritic Diving, with an option to apply rental fees toward the purchase of a new suit.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
