Full description

Immerse yourself in a full-day nature adventure that begins with a private guided hike through the serene spruce-fir forests, led by an expert naturalist. During this less than two-mile round trip hike, you'll explore subalpine ecology and look for wildlife such as Pine Marten, Snowshoe Hare, Red Squirrel, Clark’s Nutcracker, Canada Jay, Brown-capped Rosy Finch, and Pine Grosbeak. This moderately challenging hike at high elevation will invigorate your senses and provide a thrilling experience in a pristine natural setting.

After the hike, enjoy a well-deserved snack and hot drink before heading to a nearby historic mining town for lunch. The adventure concludes with a rejuvenating soak in a nearby hot spring, offering a perfect blend of physical activity, learning, and relaxation. Transportation from Denver, including hotel pickup and drop-off at Union Station, gear (such as snowshoes, spikes, and extra warm clothes), and entry to the hot springs are all provided to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience. Professional photos will be taken throughout the day, allowing you to cherish the memories of this unique adventure.

What’s included: Water, snacks, picnic lunch (on full day tours), snow spikes or snowshoes, hiking poles. Additional binoculars available if needed.
Who will be present: You will have a guide with you at all times; total participants may vary.
Spectators: No spectators are allowed; everyone must have a reservation.
Photo/video: You may take your own photos; professional photography is not provided.

How to prepare?

Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the experience will run.
Arrival: Plan to arrive on time for hotel pickup if requested.
Parking: Parking is available on site.
What to bring: Bring what you need; storage available if necessary.
Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms: No changing rooms, but restroom stops will be made.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
