Full description

Venture into the heart of Madison, Wisconsin, and join the King Street Spirits Ghost Tour for an unforgettable journey through the city's oldest and most haunted streets. As you stroll through the historic King Street and Capitol Square area, you'll be guided by an expert storyteller who unveils the hidden world of ghostly apparitions, urban legends, and paranormal mysteries that have left their mark on Madison's rich history.

Sample Itinerary:

  • Great Dane Brewpub: Meet the ghosts of The Fess Hotel, built in 1850 as “The Hotel for the Common Man” — is it now the brewery for the common ghost?
  • Majestic Theatre: Built in 1906, it is the oldest theater in Madison. A strange body morphing ghost haunts the balcony while another more playful spirit used to bother the cast of Rocky Horror Picture Show.
  • Wisconsin State Capitol Building: Ghosts of the 1883 catastrophe roam the 4th floor, but people have also seen mysterious figures in the basement.
  • BarleyPop Live: Before it was a music venue, it was a funeral parlor. You know what that means…
  • Madison Municipal Building: In 1873, prisoners screamed about a strange sphere of light roaming through the old jail, thinking it was the spirit of vengeance.
  • Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center: Hear the stories of Madison’s own lake monster. Plus, the haunted tragedy of Frank Lloyd Wright, the architect behind the Terrace.
  • The Tempest Oyster Bar: Numerous employees have reported paranormal activity, but what is its strange connection to a UFO cult?
