What to expect on the day of the experience?

Duration: Approximately 3 hours
What’s included: Round-trip ferry cruise from Washington, D.C., guided walking tour of Old Town Alexandria, cupcake at a local bakery, King Street Trolley ride
Who will be present: You will have a professional guide with you at all times; also, other guests may be joining (up to 15 people total)
Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket/reservation
Photo/ video: Photos are encouraged!
Specific rules to follow: Follow all instructions from the guide and respect historic sites

How to prepare?

Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the experience will be running
Arrival: Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance
Parking: Paid public parking is available near the Wharf; parking near the ferry terminal is limited so public transportation is recommended
What to wear: Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
What to bring:
- Recommended: water bottle, sun protection (hat/sunscreen), phone/camera
- Allowed: phones and small bags
- Not allowed: large luggage or alcohol
- Personal items should be kept with you at all times; no lockers are available
Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms are available at several stops along the tour; no changing rooms or lockers available

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

The ferry ride offers limited shade and may be breezy, so dress accordingly.
Tour operates seasonally and may be canceled if ferry service is suspended due to weather or river conditions.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 15 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
