You’ll ride real working polo ponies (yes, they’re as charming as they sound) through exclusive trails not open to the general public.

The 60–90-minute ride takes you along the Wai‘anae Mountains with sweeping views of the southern and western coastlines. There’s time for photos, a few friendly cattle sightings, and even a chance to feed your horse a post-ride treat. Guides lead the way, share stories, and make sure you’re safe and comfortable throughout. It’s a great way to see a different side of Oahu—slow-paced, off the beaten path, and seriously beautiful.

• Age: Must be 8 years or older
• Weight: Maximum weight is 230 lbs. Riders may be weighed on-site. Exceeding the limit will result in cancellation without refund
• Health limitations: Not suitable for pregnant individuals
• Experience level: All levels are welcome; terrain limits horses to walking pace only

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: 60–90 minutes. Tour may go slightly longer depending on trail conditions
• What’s included:
  • Guided trail ride on the southern slopes of the Waiʻanae Mountains

  • Helmet and saddlebag for personal items
  • A stop for photos and post-ride opportunity to feed the horses
• Who will be present: Group sizes up to 8 guests, accompanied by at least one guide
• Spectators: Not allowed; all guests must be riding participants
• Photo/ video: Bring a phone or camera—photo stop included, and guides will assist with taking pictures
• Specific rules to follow: No trotting or cantering allowed due to rocky terrain; helmets are required and provided

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the tour operates unless weather creates unsafe conditions
• Arrival: Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time for check-in and safety demo
• Parking: Free parking available at 1 Palehua Rd, Kapolei, HI 96707
  • Use Gate Code 290 at the restricted access gate on Umena Street. It will ring the manager’s phone for remote entry. State the name on the reservation
• What to wear: Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes required. No backpacks or large bags allowed
• What to bring: Phone, water, wallet, keys—saddle bags are provided to store small items
• Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms available; no changing or locker facilities

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• If arriving via rideshare (Uber/Lyft), ensure the driver can wait or return; pick-up may not be readily available post-ride
• All guests must sign a safety waiver at check-in
• Please do not arrive more than 45 minutes before your ride start time
• Merchandise and drinks are available for purchase on-site after your ride

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
