The Guided Tower Tour invites guests to climb inside the historic Ford Island Control Tower, the very spot that once oversaw flight operations during the attack on Pearl Harbor. A friendly guide leads the way up, sharing vivid stories and pointing out landmarks from the observation deck high above the harbor.

This ticket also includes general admission to the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum in Honolulu, Hawaii, so guests can spend time exploring the museum's collection of restored aircraft before or after their trip up the tower. It is a memorable way to see Pearl Harbor from a perspective few visitors get to experience.

• Height: all participants must be at least 42 inches tall to join the tower tour
• Physical limitations: Participants need to be able to ride an elevator and climb two flights of stairs to reach the observation deck.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: Children 3 years old and under can join general admission for free. Participants must be at least 42 inches tall to join the tower tour.
• Individuals with disabilities: The museum offers accessibility accommodations, and wheelchairs are available onsite. The Ford Island Control Tower can accommodate wheelchairs up to 24 inches wide for applicable tower experiences.
• Languages: Free audio tours are available in English, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Pets: Service animals are permitted, but pets are not allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours
• What's included: A guide-led tour of the historic Ford Island Control Tower, including access to the outdoor observation deck with interpretive plaques and viewfinders, plus general admission to the museum's aircraft collection.
• Who will be present: A guide leads the tour, and other ticketed guests may be joining.
• Photo/video: Personal photography is allowed throughout most of the tour and museum, with restrictions in certain areas such as the Admiral Clarey Bridge and some tower observation areas.
• Specific rules to follow: Follow all museum and military base security instructions. Identification may be requested when boarding or riding the shuttle, and foreign visitors are required to carry their passports.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: The museum is primarily indoors, but some exhibits and areas are outdoors.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled tour time to allow time for parking and the shuttle.
• Parking: Parking is available at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center for a daily fee of $7.00.
• What to wear: Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended for the stair climb.

• Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms: Restrooms are available at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and museum facilities. Bag storage is available near the shuttle stop at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center for a fee. There are no changing rooms.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• This is an upgrade experience and includes general admission to the museum in addition to the guided tower tour.
• For security reasons, there is a no bag policy at all of the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites. Small wallets, with or without a strap, are permitted.
• Free shuttles depart approximately every 15 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the last return shuttle departing the museum at 5:00 p.m.

To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
