A visit to the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum in Honolulu, Hawaii is like stepping straight into the cockpit of history. Wander among more than 50 meticulously restored aircraft, get up close with rare wartime artifacts, and climb into an Open Cockpit for a pilot's eye view of it all.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: Children 3 years old and under can join for free, and children ages 4 to 12 require a child admission ticket.
• Individuals with disabilities: The museum offers accessibility accommodations, and wheelchairs are available onsite. The Ford Island Control Tower can accommodate wheelchairs up to 24 inches wide for applicable tower experiences.
• Languages: Free audio tours are available in English, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Pets: Service animals are permitted, but pets are not allowed.
• Dietary restrictions: Food is not included with general admission.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: 40 to 60 minutes for a self-guided visit.
• What's included: General admission provides access to more than 50 aircraft, exhibits in Hangars 37 and 79, outdoor exhibits, and the Rooftop Terrace of the Operations Building. Free audio tours are also available.
• Who will be present: This is a self-guided museum experience, and other visitors may be present throughout the museum.
• Photo/video: Personal photography is allowed throughout most of the museum, with restrictions in certain areas such as the Admiral Clarey Bridge and some tower observation areas.
• Specific rules to follow: Follow all museum and military base security instructions. Identification may be requested when boarding or riding the shuttle, and foreign visitors are required to carry their passports.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: The museum is primarily indoors, but some exhibits and areas are outdoors.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center at least 30 minutes before the desired museum visit to allow time for parking and the shuttle.
• Parking: Parking is available at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center for a daily fee.
• What to wear: Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended due to the amount of walking.

• Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms: Restrooms are available at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and museum facilities. Bag storage is available near the shuttle stop at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center for a fee. There are no changing rooms.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• General admission does not include the Ford Island Control Tower experiences or the Fighter Ace 360 Flight Simulator, which are separate upgrades.
• For security reasons, there is a no bag policy at all of the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites. Small wallets, with or without a strap, are permitted.
• Free shuttles depart approximately every 15 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the last return shuttle departing the museum at 5:00 p.m.

To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
