The Tower View Experience is a quick, easy way to see Pearl Harbor from above. After a short climb inside the historic Ford Island Control Tower, guests reach an open-air observation deck with sweeping views across the harbor and a roaming guide nearby to share stories and answer questions.

This ticket includes general admission to the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum in Honolulu, Hawaii, so guests can also enjoy the museum's collection of restored aircraft. It is a great option for anyone who wants a taste of the tower experience without the longer guided tour.

Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: All age groups are welcome.
• Height: Participants must be at least 42 inches tall to join the tower tour.
• Physical limitations: Participants need to be able to ride an elevator and climb two flights of stairs to reach the observation deck.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: Children 3 years old and under can join general admission for free.
• Individuals with disabilities: The museum offers accessibility accommodations, and wheelchairs are available onsite. The Ford Island Control Tower can accommodate wheelchairs up to 24 inches wide for applicable tower experiences.
• Languages: Free audio tours are available in English, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Pets: Service animals are permitted, but pets are not allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes
• What's included: Access to the Ford Island Control Tower's outdoor observation deck, with a roaming guide sharing stories throughout the day, plus general admission to the museum's aircraft collection.
• Who will be present: A roaming guide is present, along with other visitors moving through the observation deck.
• Photo/video: Personal photography is allowed throughout most of the museum and observation deck, with restrictions in certain areas such as the Admiral Clarey Bridge and some tower observation areas.
• Specific rules to follow: Follow all museum and military base security instructions. Identification may be requested when boarding or riding the shuttle, and foreign visitors are required to carry their passports.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: The observation deck is outdoors, so dress for the weather.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center at least 30 minutes before the desired museum visit to allow time for parking and the shuttle.
• Parking: Parking is available at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center for a daily fee of $7.00.
• What to wear: Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended for the stair climb.
• What to bring:

  • Small personal belongings that can be carried without a bag
• Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms: Restrooms are available at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and museum facilities. Bag storage is available near the shuttle stop at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center for a fee. There are no changing rooms.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• This is an upgrade experience and includes general admission to the museum in addition to the Tower View Experience.
• For security reasons, there is a no bag policy at all of the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites. Small wallets, with or without a strap, are permitted.
• Free shuttles depart approximately every 15 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the last return shuttle departing the museum at 5:00 p.m.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
