Overview

Get creative with a hands-on pottery class in 3 different locations across California, where you’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing and hand building while crafting your own ceramic pieces. Perfect for beginners, this interactive workshop lets you shape, glaze, and take home pottery made entirely by you.

🎨 Learn essential pottery techniques from professional local artists

🌀 Try your hand at both wheel-throwing and hand-building methods

🔥 Create and fire two unique ceramic pieces like bowls, mugs, or vases

🌈 Return to glaze your finished creations for a personalized final touch

Get hands-on with clay and creativity in this Pottery Class, a fun, beginner-friendly introduction to the art of ceramics. Held in a relaxed studio setting in either Costa Mesa, Santa Monica, or Laguna Beach, this two-part experience gives participants the chance to create something truly personal from start to finish. In the first session, you’ll learn the fundamentals of hand-building and wheel-throwing while crafting two custom pieces, one on the table and one on the wheel—think mugs, bowls, vases, or whatever your imagination inspires. Once your creations are fired, return to glaze and add your finishing touches, or have the studio handle that step for you.

Led by professional local potters, this hands-on class strikes the perfect balance between creative play and practical skill-building. Expect a little mess, plenty of guidance, and the satisfaction of walking away with pottery that’s uniquely yours. Whether you’re trying something new or looking for an experience to share, this pottery workshop is a tactile, relaxing way to tap into your artistic side.
