In this accessible workshop, you'll discover the secrets of crafting the perfect French Choux pastry, a technique many bakers find challenging but is simpler than it appears. Led by an expert Pastry Chef Instructor, the class starts with a comprehensive demonstration, followed by hands-on guidance to mix, pipe, bake, and fill your creations, producing exquisite eclairs, cream puffs, gougères, churros, French cruller donuts, and choux beignets.

Designed for both seasoned bakers and complete novices, this class strips away the complexity of French baking and makes it an enjoyable and educational experience. The casual and supportive atmosphere ensures everyone, from those who wish to master each step to those who prefer to watch and learn, feels welcome and engaged. By the end of the evening, you'll not only have mastered several recipes but also understand the foundational techniques that underpin a wide range of sophisticated pastries.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: 2.5 hours.
  • What’s included: All the equipment and ingredients will be provided.
  • Who will be present:You will work with other students in groups of 2 to 4. Minimum 12 guests, maximum 26 guests will be present.
  • Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket/reservations.
  • Photo/ video: You may take your own photos and videos.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: This is an indoor experience

  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance

  • Parking: Street parking available. Please arrive early if you plan to drive and park.

  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: There will be restrooms at the experience location.

  • Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

    • Outside drinks are not allowed. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price.
    • Class level: Beginner

FAQs

What should I expect on the day of the class?

Arrive a few minutes early to check in with the chef instructor using the ticket holder’s name. No need to bring a printed confirmation. The class will typically start with an introduction and a brief overview of the recipes you'll be preparing. Ingredients and cooking stations will be provided, and the chef will guide you through each step. After cooking, you'll enjoy the delicious meal you've created.

Why do classes work together in groups?

Cooking classes are designed to be a social and interactive experience. Working in groups encourages collaboration, allows for sharing of tips and techniques, and enhances the fun of the learning process. It's also a great way to meet new people who share your interests.

Can you accommodate food allergies?

Will I eat the food after cooking?

Yes! Enjoying the meal you've prepared is the best reward for all your efforts.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows mean losing the value of your experience. Rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance is subject to a $20 per person rescheduling fee. A minimum of 8 participants is required for the class to run. If the minimum is not met, the provider reserves the right to cancel the class and will make every effort to reschedule customers.
